This frozen blood head is both frightening and amazing… (via NY Post’s website)

Made with nine pints of Marc Quinn’s frozen blood, “Self,” a cast of the artist’s head, was bought by the National Portrait Gallery in London for $450,000 in 2006. An earlier version of the sculpture, purchased for $150,000 by art collector Charles Saatchi in 1991, was accidentally thawed when Saatchi’s then-partner Nigella Lawson, now his ex-wife, pulled the plug to the freezer where it was stored.

(This is apparently called ‘The Mercury Retrograde Body Mitten’)

Wondrous. Early rough demo of Tame Impala’s ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’. Not just a demo, you can hear the writing process as it’s going on.

FLOORED by this.. Both the choreography and the dancers. WOW WOW WOW.

"Flesh Love" - Haruhiko Kawaguchi

Two people, usually couples, are “packaged” in a 100 by 150 by 74 centimeters plastic bag the artist buys from the Internet. After carefully arranging their body parts so he can get the best shot, Kawaguchi uses an old vacuum cleaner to suck out all the air and make the subjects look like a pack of packaged meat you buy at the supermarket. It takes about 10 to 20 seconds for hit to take the photographs, during which time the shrinkwrapped couple has to endure the pressure and lack of air.

Now this is some amazing modern art. Photographer is Haruhiko Kawaguchi.
